Religious Education*

Preschoolers: Breaking Open the Word (BOW) - This "Sunday School" has three classes designed for different age groups. One class is for 3, 4 and 5 year olds who are not in kindergarten. One class is for K, 1st and 2nd graders. The third class if designed for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders. Children attend 10:30 a.m. Mass with their family and receive a blessing before the first reading. They leave the upper church and at offertory return to share in the rest of the Mass with their family. The children gather for prayer, listen to a children's version of the gospel reading and discuss the reading. Parents are welcome to attend the class with their child until they are comfortable attending independently. When Father calls the children forward - encourage them to join him!
